The Cottage Staithes
The Cottage is a 300-year-old traditional fisherman’s cottage situated in the heart of the village.
Sympathetically restored, it retains original windows, fireplaces and beams throughout, whilst providing all free WiFi, telephone (payphone), TV and DVD, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave etc.
The cottage sleeps 4 in one twin and one double room and has a fully equipped bathroom, including bath and shower.
There is a fabulous log burner in the lounge, plus oil fired central heating to keep you cosy in all weathers.
We are 1 minute from the beach and the two village pubs, both which serve great food.
Staithes is situated on the Cleveland way, so is amazing walking country. And you can even bring your dog!
The cottage is equipped with games and DVDs for relax time plus many books including local history.
Famous for Captain Cook, Old Jacks Boat and numerous television appearances, Staithes is a not so hidden gem these days, but still retains a feeling of stepping back in time, due to the intact feeling of the village.
Venturing out of the village, we are 8 miles south of Saltburn, with its incredible beach and cliffs, and 10 miles north of Whitby, where Dracula landed!
