Rooms: So that guests get the attention they deserve, Tri's policy is to make only one room available each evening - with private bathroom and a sumptuous Sealy Posturepedic Super King bed. However, for family groups or friends travelling together, an exception can be made, and an additional three rooms can be made available by special arrangement (please email or phone with your inquiry). One of these rooms has two Queen beds. The other two rooms each have a Super King bed. This means that groups of up to 10 guests can stay together. Perfect if you have a group enjoying the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail. For groups, a shared bathroom is available to you, along with your own spacious guest lounge with comfortable seating, bean bag, mega-sized floor cushions, fridge, microwave, TV, Playstation PS3, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a wireless laser printer.

Please note that the maximum guest occupancy at The Waitaki B&B is 10 persons.

There is so much to do in the Waitaki (from the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail, mountain biking, picnicking, hiking, gliding at Omarama, whiling away an afternoon at Steampunk HQ, visiting a penguin colony, appreciating the unique heritage architecture of the Oamaru Historic Precinct, day-tripping to Heritage New Zealand historic places sites, ambling through the renowned Oamaru Public Gardens, to exploring our restaurants, cafes, stores, museums, art galleries as well as our lakes, salmon-filled rivers, and stunning coastline). Or maybe go 'Southern Vienna' with a visit to the truly magnificent Oamaru Opera House?

In fact - there is so much to enjoy in the Waitaki that we suggest a stay of 3 nights - that is, if you have the luxury of time.

However long your stay though - you are sure of a warm welcome at The Waitaki B&B.
