Children are to be supervised at all times (we have a river boundary, plus there are streams and other water on the farm).
In the Matakana Region there are many things to see and do:
Weekend markets on Saturdays at Mangawhai and Matakana;
There are stunning white sand beaches less than 30 minutes by car;
If you enjoy museums, there are plenty to choose from. The Kauri Museum at Matakohe is a 'must see';
There are excellent cafes in the district and for those of you who enjoy chocolate, Bennett's store and adjoining cafe at Mangawhai will not disappoint;
There are wineries and a local wine tour is available;
And if you would like to see local crafts and art again, there is plenty to choose from. At Matakana the well known Morris & James Pottery is an excellent place to visit. It is less than 25 minutes away by car;
If horse riding is something you would like to do, then there are two local choices available at Warkworth as well as Pakiri;
There are plenty of regional parks to explore that are less than 30 minutes away by car.;
Hiking on walking tracks is available and our local tourism office at Warkworth can provide detailed information; and
If you would like to experience snorkelling in the Marine Reserve near Goat Island (close to Leigh) that is also very popular.

We are less than one hour from Auckland's CBD; 17 kms North of Warkworth, 3kms from SHI.
North of the the Dome Valley, you will see the the Whangaripo Valley turnoff onto Wayby Valley Road.
After 2kms Spindler Road is the first road on your right.
From the North, we are south of Wellsford.
